AGRI‑COOL will take part in the upcoming SophiA Train the Trainers course and Final Consortium Meeting, taking place from 15 to 19 September 2025 in Karlsruhe, Germany. This key event will bring together international project partners to deepen their understanding of SophiA’s innovative, off-grid refrigeration solutions designed for hospitals and pharmacies in Africa.
The programme begins with a two-day training course (15–16 September), where participants will explore the latest SophiA technologies—combining natural refrigerants, solar thermal energy, and photovoltaics—and learn how to transfer this knowledge to stakeholders in their own countries. Technical modules will be held at the Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences (HKA) and at the SPF Institute for Solar Technology (OST) in Switzerland.
The Final Consortium Meeting (17–18 September) will mark the last in-person gathering of SophiA partners, offering a space to assess final activities, reporting, and long-term maintenance strategies for installed systems. The week concludes with technical site visits in Karlsruhe on 19 September, showcasing cutting-edge refrigeration systems.
AGRI‑COOL is proud to contribute to this exchange of knowledge and to foster synergies between two EU-funded initiatives working towards sustainable and inclusive access to refrigeration technologies in Africa.
